Workshop ” Igniting Connections to Develop AI Applications in the Digital Era” 2025
On the morning of October 8, 2025, at Room 310 – the Center for Excellence in Research and Innovation, the Department of Information Technology at Vietnam Academy of Agriculture organized a scientific seminar titled “Igniting Connections to Develop AI Applications in the Digital Era.” This event was part of a series of activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Department of Information Technology at Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
The seminar was chaired by Dr. Pham Quang Dung, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Technology and leader of the “Big Data and Digital Transformation” research group. The event brought together scientists, lecturers, and researchers from various universities and research institutes nationwide, along with many students interested in artificial intelligence (AI).
In his opening speech, Dr. Pham Quang Dung emphasized the importance of fostering connections and knowledge sharing among researchers, lecturers, and students to develop practical AI applications that effectively serve production and daily life.

A topic that, while not new, has not been extensively researched or applied in Vietnam is related to Semantic Networks. According to Dr. Tran Duc Minh (National Economics University), applications of semantic networks are very rich and play a crucial role in France. However, in Vietnam, their use remains very limited. Therefore, Dr. Tran Duc Minh chose to present on “Semantic Networks and Their Applications,” focusing on knowledge representation solutions within AI systems. The author aims to inspire and build a team pursuing the development of semantic networks in Vietnam.
