Academically oriented IT Major
1. Training objectives
The specific objectives of the training program are to provide the trainees with the following knowledge, skills and experience:
– Advanced theoretical knowledge, updated on IT;
– Good practice;
– Have problem-solving ability and application of theoretical knowledge, new technology and practical skills to develop IT products and applications in various fields: education, agriculture, management physical…;
– Ability to manage and implement IT projects;
– Have good foreign language skills in accordance with European standards;
– Ability to work independently and in teams, in multi-disciplinary, multidisciplinary, interpersonal, presentation and integration environments in an international environment;
– Having scientific research methods, effective and creative self-learning;
– Being able to meet the practical requirements of research, teaching, production, scientific and technical services operating in the field of information technology;
– Having knowledge and experience so that the trainees can continue their studies at the doctoral level at domestic and foreign training institutions.
2. Training time
The total duration of training is 18 months for the administrative system and 24 months for the administrative system.
3. Examination forms and subjects
– Selection on the conditions under the regulations of Vietnam National University of Agriculture
– Examination with the following subjects:
– Basic Exam: Discrete Math
– Exam Objectives: Basic Informatics (Data Structures and Algorithms, Databases)
– Foreign Language: Level B English.
4. Subjects of admission
4.1. About the degree
Candidates entering the Master’s program in Information Technology must satisfy one of the following conditions:
– Having a proper university degree in the field of Computer and Information Technology, coded 5248xxxx in the list of tertiary education and training, promulgated together with the Finance Ministry’s Circular No. 14/2010 / TT-BGDDT dated 27/4/2010 of the Minister of Education and Training:
Computer Science, Communication and Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology;
– Having a university degree in regularization in the field of Informatics from the Hanoi Agricultural University and other universities;
– Having a university degree in the regular system close to the IT industry, have supplemented their knowledge to have the equivalent of a university degree in Information Technology.
4.2. About working seniority
– People who have a university diploma in accordance with the provisions of Article 4.1 or better may take the exam right after graduation;
– The remaining cases must have at least one year of professional experience in the field of information technology (from the date of signing the decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of enrollment);
– Other qualifications and seniority to work under the Regulations of postgraduate training of Hanoi University of Agriculture.

7. Training program
7.1. Overview of the program
The Master’s program in Information Technology at Vietnam National University of Agriculture is based on an advanced and modern trend that is appropriate to local conditions and is equivalent to the program of some advanced schools in the world. gender.
To qualify for graduation, students must complete at least 46 credits, including:
– General knowledge (required): 5 credits;
– Basic knowledge and specialized knowledge: 32 credits
+ Required courses: 18 credits;
Total required credits are 23 credits (including general knowledge), accounting for 50% of the program.
+ Electives: 14 credits (30%).
– Thesis: 9 credits (20%). The dissertation must meet the requirements of higher education training of Vietnam National University of Agriculture.
