Faculty of Information Technology – Vietnam National University of Agriculture & CMC Telecom: Connecting the technology ecosystem and young knowledge
On the morning of January 15, 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology organized a visit for its students to explore the operations and career paths, as well as IT job opportunities at CMC Telecom. Representing the Faculty of Information Technology were Dr. Pham Quang Dung – Head of the Faculty, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao – Deputy Head of the Network & Information Systems Department. Representing CMC Telecom were the company’s leadership team.
To strengthen the connection between training and business practice, the students of the Faculty recently had a field trip to CMC Telecom – one of Vietnam’s leading enterprises in telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, and information technology services.
During the visit, 40 outstanding students from the Faculty received an overview from CMC Telecom representatives on the company’s formation and development, its main areas of activity such as Data Center services, Cloud services, transmission networks, information security, and technology solutions for businesses. In addition, students had the opportunity to directly tour the technical infrastructure, learn about the operation, management, and security processes of the system according to international standards.
This was not just a tour, but a bridge connecting the classroom and businesses with a series of unique activities:
In-depth Tech Talk: Updating on Cloud Computing & Information Security trends from experts at CMC Telecom.
Practical Experience: Exploring the modern Data Center and innovative workspace at CMC.
Career Orientation: Direct dialogue with the HR department about career development paths and internship and job opportunities for 3rd and 4th year students.
The event demonstrated the sustainable cooperation model between the Faculty of Information Technology – Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Forestry and businesses in general and CMC Telecom in particular.
