Information on admissions for Information Technology in 2026
In the era of technological boom, information technology has consistently maintained its position as one of the leading sectors in terms of workforce demand and development potential. This position is further strengthened as the world enters the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Particularly in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution – which in Vietnam is primarily focused on the application of automation, high technology, and data exchange in manufacturing and agriculture – information technology is increasingly asserting its importance as both a foundation and a driving force for keeping pace with global development. Intelligent technology systems are essential for optimizing labor productivity, reducing manual labor, and saving production costs.
Will Industry 4.0 Elevate IT?
The Fourth Industrial Revolution has led to a surge in demand for IT jobs, opening up many opportunities for tech-savvy individuals. The dream of securing a high-paying, self-reliant job after graduation is no longer out of reach for young people. It can be said that the industrial revolution has become a driving force, making the high-tech labor market more vibrant than ever. According to LinkedIn’s report, the number of IT jobs has increased dramatically, leading the top 20 industries in the last five years. Clearly, the wave of new technology has driven the demand for IT personnel to its peak.
According to its report on domestic recruitment needs in the second quarter and forecast for the third quarter, Navigos Group stated that the demand for personnel in the second quarter and the first half of this year increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. Information technology/software is ranked 3rd among the top 10 most in-demand professions. The reasons for this widespread increase in IT demand include: Vietnam attracting more and more regional technology companies to establish product development bases; a surge in startups; and, notably, the transformation of traditional businesses into digital transformation and e-commerce in various sectors such as tourism, agriculture, and real estate.
Not only domestic IT companies, but also foreign corporations are eager to recruit IT personnel with attractive benefits and salaries. According to VietnamWorks statistics, salaries and income for IT professionals consistently rank among the highest. Common salaries for entry-level employees range from 10.6 to 15.2 million VND, for managers from 22.5 to 45 million VND, and for directors from 67.5 million VND and above.
